Grace Park ETNS means being part of a highly collaborative, supportive and inclusive team who embody our school values of "Be Kind", "Be Safe", "Be Respectful", "Belong" and "Be Ready to Learn" in their role.

Our Culture

We value professional growth and collaboration, and staff are encouraged to share ideas, develop innovative teaching approaches, and contribute to the life of the school community.

Working here offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in a supportive environment where diversity is celebrated and every voice matters.

Our staff Social Committee organise events and social outings for staff throughout the school year to promote fun and staff wellbeing, including our social Tag Rugby team and Grace Park Voices Staff Choir.

"I love Grace Park ETNS because everyone is welcomed, valued, and included, which gives each member of our school community a true sense of belonging. Our school creates a kind and supportive community where we feel safe to be ourselves and grow together."

- Liana

As a staff we strive to create a child-centred learning environment where every child is supported, encouraged and empowered to flourish and reach their full potential.

We value a holistic approach to education that recognises children's multiple intelligences and unique abilities.

Our team works together to promote equality, critical thinking, and active learning, reflecting the Educate Together ethos of equality-based, co-educational, child-centred, and democratically run education.

"Grace Park ETNS is a truly special place to work. What I value most about our school is the strong sense of belonging and community that is felt throughout every aspect of school life.  Our inclusive ethos fosters a warm, welcoming and vibrant environment where children, families and staff feel respected, valued and supported. I particularly enjoy building positive relationships with the children, staff, families and the wider school community. I am proud to be part of a school that is deeply committed to a values-based approach, empowering every child to grow, develop and thrive both academically and personally."

- Sinéad

"I love Grace Park because it's one of the most accepting places I have ever stepped foot in. From the very first time I came through the door, I felt seem, heard and safe. I see this in all of the children and staff. Children being who they want to be, their peers supporting them and the staff lifting them up to reach the stars."

- Meg

"I love being part of an environment where the work feels worthwhile every single day. The children bring joy, laughter, and warmth, while the people around me make it feel like family. It’s a happy, welcoming place to work where everyone is treated equally and valued for who they are. Every morning begins with a smile and a “good morning,” and every person is made to feel truly welcome."

- Teresa

"I love Grace Park ETNS as it is a warm, welcoming and happy place to work with a supportive team. Staff members are encouraged to share their talents with the whole school community and learn from one another. All of our students can show up as their authentic selves and diversity is embraced and celebrated."

- Eve

Our staff are collegial, child-centred and inclusive in all of their practices. We have a highly skilled, professional staff with a unique range of talents and abilities which they love to share with the whole school community.

We highly regard the willingness of our staff to share their knowledge and skills with our school community be it through performances at school assemblies, coaching teams or leading peer mentoring workshops for staff.

Our Skills

Our staff are committed to equality, inclusion, respect, children’s autonomy, innovative and active learning approaches, openness and reflective practice to ensure all students develop holistically and as global citizens.

All of our work is underpinned by building strong relationships with our students to ensure they feel safe, welcome and supported in their school.

We host a number of Student Teachers, Transition Year Students and ANA Placement Students in our school each year. It is a great opportunity to learn in a child-centred environment alongside a highly collaborative staff.

Any individual wishing to complete a placement in our school can get in touch with the School Office and we will endeavour to get back to you as soon as possible with availability.

Due to the high volume of requests we receive each year it is not always possible to facilitate all placement requests.

MENTORING AND DROICHEAD

We are a Droichead school and have a supportive, collegial and experienced Droichead Professional Support Team (PST) in our school. Our PST is complied of members of our teaching staff and School Leadership Team.

We also encourage a culture of Continuous Professional Development (CPD) for all staff (Teachers and ANAs), with staff-led peer mentoring sessions taking place during our Croke Park Hours to share the expertise and talents of the staff already in our school. We also facilitate CPD training with outside agencies throughout the Academic Year and the Board of Management actively supports further education and training for staff outside of school hours through CPD bursaries for Masters, etc.

Each of our staff members maintains a digital Professional Learning Record in line with the recommendations of Cosán to celebrate the wonderful work they do to support their professional development.
