A Note from Sylvia

I'm delighted to announce that we have been given a donation of a defibrillator by The Stephen Gately Trust. Their main aim is to make it mandatory for all Schools and Sports Clubs to have a defibrillator on site. I have personally been involved in fundraising for the Trust since it was established and contacted them a few months ago and Michelle Gately, the Founder of the Trust, kindly gave us the next available defibrillator last week. In order to help the Trust to donate more defibrillators to other schools, we will pay it forward by organising a fundraiser during the year, with donations going to the Trust.

Food Dudes

Food Dudes is a programme developed by the University of Wales, Bangor, to encourage children to eat more fruit and vegetables both in school and at home. It is based on positive role models (the Food Dudes characters), repeated tasting and rewards. In large-scale studies in schools in England and Wales and pilot studies in schools in Ireland, the Programme has been shown to be effective and results long lasting across the primary age range, regardless of gender, school size, geographic and socio-economic factors. It is ultimately designed to enable children to enjoy eating healthy diets, and to create a healthy eating culture within schools. Coming to Grace Park ETNS From the 17 th of Octob

Watch out! Builders at play!

We saw some future engineers,  architects and builders constructing some wonderful inventions today! Our journey of self understanding. We traced our hands and cut them out! We really enjoyed scissor work 😊

We had a busy week last week! We had lots of fun making marks in sand and playdough and we wrote our names and the letter C! We also grouped pictures according to their sounds 😀😀😀😀

What a fun first week we had at Grace Park ETNS!

We had lots of fun beading in our finger gym and we counted 100 on one string! When we discussed and agreed our Golden Rules together, Caroline made a poster for us! Great fun playing at lunchtime! We were learning to sort items by colour this week. The initial stage of discussing and brainstorming our Golden Rules. How can we be happy in school? We had a lot to say about what makes a great friend :) Here are our ideas!
