Our first full week :)

A big "Comhghairdeas" to all our Junior Infants who completed their first full week of school this week. We had so much fun learning about colours and learning our first set of sounds in Jolly Phonics. I nGaeilge, we were learning about "mé féin" and sang two new songs,"Ceann Gualainn, Glúin is Cos" and "Taispeáin dom do lámh".

We were ripping and sticking in Art working on our fine motor skills, and had some wonderful circle time where we spoke about our Golden Rules. This week we focused on having kind hands, kind feet and kind words. Next week we will remember to look and listen quietly when someone is speaking to us. We have been practicing our mindfulness every day and really like it after yard to help us calm our bodies and minds.

We had our first P.E class with Conor and we got to see the hall and the football pitch! We have been learning about the story of " Little red riding hood" and made freeze frames when learning about the characters in the story.

Finally it was our turn to open the assembly and we had been practicing hard all week for our first show! We even went up on stage to sing our song! Check out our Facebook page to see us in action! And we would like to say a big "Comhghairdeas" too to our Réalt na Seachtaine, Martha and Gaeilgeoir na Seachtaine, Michal ! Maith sibh!

Well done again everyone , I can't wait to see what fun next week brings us! Have a great weekend!
